Editing and filming technique

Rhianna-Cheers (drink to that)
The final section in our music video involves a 35 second montage of the male and females past memories. We would ideally like this part of the music video to stand out from the rest of our video. To gain a better idea of how to do this, we decided to look at different editing techniques and also the filming techniques. We chose to look at the music video Rihanna's Cheers (Drink to That) as it portrayed well what we want to do.

This video shows a mixture of home footage and touring footage, which we would ideally like to show in our video, a lot of it being handheld using a steadicam which we also want to include although we do not possess a steadicam. We would like to involve hand held shots aswell as shots from the tripod. In order to make the footage stand out and look better, we will need to involve a lot of different shots. Including pan shots, long shots, mid shots, quick shots, short clips and a wide variation of angles. We are planning on trying to recreate this using both final cut express and also, photoshot.
